Second Half of 2012 Begins Now

Hello! How's everyone?

Cheers for the positivity!

Well, the first half of 2012 has already passed a week ago and I must say that it has been an awesome year so far.

Here's a quick recap of events from January to June:

I was able to travel all the way to Capas, Tarlac and climb Mount Pinatubo together with some members of PTB (Pinoy Travel Bloggers) Bagets. It was my first mountain, that's why Pinatubo will always have a special place in my heart. Cheesy, but true.

Mount Pinatubo Crater Lake

Binondo Food Trip!

And oh, I also went to Binondo, Manila together with Robbie, Brenna and Chino to experience Binondo food trip. It was heaven.

We shot our first episode of Biyahe Ta 'Bay! Too bad we had to defer our future shooting schedule due to conflict of schedule (my co-hosts are still students). Hopefully, we can come up with new concepts and witty lines in the near future. Heh!

Anj, Mark, Kuya Lito and I. Nasa likod lang namin ang Mount Apo, the highest peak of PH!

Uber travel mode!

This is the month when I finally got my paycheck from my online job last October and November 2011. And with that, I rewarded myself with two round trip tickets to Manila and Cebu, bought an iPod Touch 4th generation and upgraded my camera from Canon EOS 1000D to 1100D. I can finally shoot HD videos using my camera! I had this opportunity to visit four different provinces of Luzon and Visayas namely: Aurora (San Luis and Baler), Cebu (Brgy. Mantalongon, Oslob and Boljoon), Negros Oriental (Sibulan and Dumaguete) and Siquijor.

Swimming - more fun in the Philippines!

As the famous line goes, It's More Fun in the Philippines!

Visited three provinces of Luzon namely: Pampanga (Clark and Angeles City), Benguet and Pangasinan (Dagupan, Lingayen and La Union). It was my first solo trip and I failed to finish it. But despite that, I still learned a LOT of things essential to life.

Lingayen Capitol

Real-life Mayors!

Also attended the very first Foursquare Day in Davao City! Had the chance to meet some of the Foursquare users within Davao. Thanks to Kuya Lyle's XBOX 360 Kinect, everybody enjoyed the party as we literally danced (and jumped) whole night long. Can't get enough with Dance Central 2 and Just Dance 3!

First time to organize a big event AKA Davao Food Appreciation Tour 2012 with Mark, Juy, Ate Ria, Kuya Drew and Ate Dulce. Despite the stress, I still enjoyed it. Eh ikaw ba naman, one of the requirements is to eat at various restaurants within Davao Region and blog about it.

Cousins and Relatives

Ate, yours truly and mother dear

This month was also special since mom and I together with my aunt, cousin and uncle went to Boracay to attend my second cousin's wedding. It may seemed overrated (Hello, Boracay?!) but who cares, it was our first time to visit the overhyped island and we truly had a blast! It was also nice to meet my cousins from the mother side. Now I know where I got my looks. *wink*

Finally reunited with my co-volunteers at VYLH (Volunteer Youth Leaders for Health) Philippines during the 2nd National Leadership Congress held at Island Cove Hotels and Leisure Parks last June 2-4, 2012. I was even part of the steering committee. Despite the lack of sleep and the cultural and lingual differences, we were once again united with one heart, one vision and one goal - that is to continuously campaign about the importance of Folic Acid and New Born Screening and to raise awareness about rare orphan disorders.

VYLH Mindanao
So happy!

It was so nice to meet old and new friends!

Also this month, I am scheduled to go back to Manila next week to attend the launch of PHL360. I'm going to climb Mount Gulugod Baboy of Batangas and visit Tagaytay as well together with my travel buddies! Yipee!!!!

All is well. All is well!

I hope the remaining months of 2012 would still be awesome! Good vibes!

Cheers everyone!
