Sunrise over Alaska Peninsula

Dawn was breaking as we flew over the frigid landscape of Alaska Peninsula. As the sun peeked over the horizon, it cast an orange glow on a place that seemed to be barren and lifeless. At sunrise, everything is luminous, but not clear.

The Long Wait Is Over

Finally, Canada approved my tourist visa application. I have been anxious and worried for the past few days. I have never been so stressed about this visa application. All's well that ends well. Now, my trip to Toronto is finally happening! I really thought they'd deny application the second time around. Phew! What a relief! I can still remember how I felt after reading my email notification from Canadian immigration.

This is it!

Debt Bed

I tried the Grab premium service of Singapore just for the heck of it. So, they gave me a Toyota Vellfire. Everything's automated, and it also has a sunroof. The driver was quite talkative, and it came to a point that we were talking about the Singaporean way of life. The convo went something like this:

Driver: So this car costs SGD 260k lah.

Me: Wow, that's like 10 million pesos! I can already buy a 2 bedroom condominium in that amount.

Driver: Oh, really? The average price of the condo here in Singapore is SGD 2.5 million!

Me: (gikapoy na ko mag compute kay for sure daghan zeroes involved). Whoa! But I think the payment scheme here is easier. You'll pay your condo for a hundred years. Even if you're dead, you still have to pay before you go to heaven. Death by debt!

Driver: HAHAHAHA you're crazy!

Me: I know, right?

Just a quick update

Okay, so I'm currently in the lounge, waiting for my flight to Manila. Here's what happened: My flight was originally scheduled to depart from Davao at 5.30 PM. Upon checking in, the flight was overbooked due to equipment change. The ground staff was looking for volunteers to give up their seats in exchange for a free round-trip ticket to any domestic destinations (except Busuanga, Caticlan, and Basco). To cut the long story short, I got transferred to the 11.10 PM flight to Manila, but I got what I want. LOL! This is my third time to experience this. Ang swerte ko naman!

Anyway, I am flying to Kuala Lumpur via Singapore Changi tomorrow afternoon. I am so thrilled since it is going to be my first time flying with Singapore Airlines. I have heard a lot of good reviews about that airline, so yeah. Can't wait to vlog my very first airline review. Hahaha, yep I'm doing an airline review on my vlog since I am a frequent traveler.
